We've Created 2.6 Milion Jobs - Dr. Bawumia
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has underscored the Akufo-Addo administration’s accomplishments in job creation, asserting that the administration has created more jobs than any previous government.
He pointed to data from the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) and other sources, which he said indicates that around 2.6 million jobs have been generated under this administration.
According to Dr. Bawumia, approximately 1.4 million of these jobs are in the private sector, while 1.2 million have been created within the public sector.
He emphasized that this job creation milestone is a testament to the government’s efforts to bolster Ghana’s economy and enhance opportunities for its citizens.
"We have done a remarkable job in creating jobs in the last seven years, indeed so far, as of yesterday or a day before…I checked the data from SSNIT and other sources and so far, between 2017 and 2024, the latest data is that we have created 2.6 million jobs."
