Tyla, Taylor Swift, and Shaboozey Shine at 2025 iHeartRadio Awards

The 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards honored some of the world’s biggest music stars, with Tyla, Taylor Swift, and Shaboozey taking home major awards. The star-studded event took place on March 17 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, celebrating artists across multiple genres.
African music had a strong presence at the awards, with Nigerian superstars Burna Boy, Tems, Lojay, and Davido receiving nominations. Davido and Lojay were nominated for Best R&B Song for their contribution to Chris Brown’s Sensational, while South African singer Tyla also competed in the category with her global hit Water.
In the World Artist of the Year category, Burna Boy and Tems were recognized, but Tyla emerged victorious, leading the African contingent with three nominations.
The event once again showcased the diversity of global music, with artists from different backgrounds making a mark on the industry. Tyla’s win further cements her status as an international star, while Swift and Shaboozey continue to dominate their respective genres.
