WAAW Foundation is Offering Scholarships to African Women in Stem for 2025 Academic Year
Africa's prosperity is dependent on the talents and contributions of its brightest minds. To harness this potential, the Working to Advance African Women (WAAW) Foundation is committed to supporting African women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The WAAW Foundation Scholarship for 2025 is a beacon of opportunity for young women who dare to dream big and shape Africa's future through innovation and excellence.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Female students of African origin, living and studying in Africa
- Currently enrolled in a STEM related Bachelor's degree program at an accredited University in Africa
- Excellent academic records
- Demonstrated leadership and community service
- Commitment to pursuing a career in STEM
- Below the age of 32
- Ability to demonstrate financial need.
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
- A $500 financial support for tuition and research expenses
- Mentorship and networking opportunities
- Professional development and career guidance
- Membership in the WAAW Foundation alumni network.
APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
- Completed application form
- One signed and sealed copy of current academic transcripts
- Personal statement
- Two (2) letters of recommendation (one written by a professor from your institution and the other from an academic supervisor/advisor or mentor to be emailed by the referee to the scholarship team)
- One scanned copy of ID card.
