GENERAL OVERVIEW 

The University of Pecs, founded in 1921 is a public research university located in Pecs, Hungary. The University offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses in Humanities, Social sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Business and more.

The University of Pecs is offering the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship to international students who are interested in pursuing either undergraduate, graduate or post graduate studies in Hungary.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

  • Opened to international students from any country (excluding EU/EE citizens)
  • Hungarian citizens are ineligible 
  • Undergraduate applicants must have completed twelve (12) years of education 
  • A Bachelor's degree is required for a Masters program 
  • Doctoral applicants must hold a Bachelors and Masters degree
  • Former Stipendium Hungaricum scholars cannot reapply.

  • Completed online application form
  • A CV
  • Academic transcripts 
  • Degree certificates (Bachelors/Masters)
  • Recommendation letters
  • Statement of Purpose 
  • Research Proposal (Graduate studies applicants)
  • A copy of the front page of a valid passport 
  • Proof of language proficiency (Hungarian, English)
  • Other supporting documents upon request.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Register online by providing your basic details (Ensure you fill in your citizenship correctly) and save your unique applicant access code
  • Log into the system with your unique applicant access code
  • Choose your program, level of study, modes of study at the university of Pecs. Choose English as your language of study
  • Finish the remaining sections of the online application and submit before the deadline in January 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be nominated by the responsible authority or scholarship body in your home country for this scholarship.
