The Bloomsbury Academic Writing Fellowship 2024
The Bloomsbury Writing Fellowship in partnership with Writers and Artists is pleased to announce the 2024 Academic Writing Fellowship for outstanding individuals to develop and refine their writing expertise and publish their research to a global audience.
FELLOWSHIP OVERVIEW
This competitive opportunity is designed to support persons in the Humanities and also Social science field with stipends, mentorship and publishing opportunities to help them develop their writing skills and publish their research.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Who is eligible to apply?
- Black Africans or Individuals of African Caribbean Heritage
- Africans who are over 18 years living in the UK
- Researchers in the Humanities and Social Science disciplines
- Individuals with original research proposals(Not previously published or submitted) covering one of these UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
- Researchers with strong writing and communication skills
- Researchers who do not have a publishing contract or agent for the proposed work.
FELLOWSHIP BENEFITS
Successful applicants will receive:

APPLICATION PROCESS
- Submit a short statement of not less than 200 words about how your work aims to educate and inspire within one or two of the key thematic statements which include; Gender and Sexuality, Economics and International Development, Social Welfare, Society and Communities, Politics, Current Affairs and Government, Equality and Diversity, Climate and Environment, History and Cultural Heritage, Popular culture and Media, Literary studies.
- Provide a provisional Table of contents and projected word counts
- Have an account with writersandartists.co.uk which is free to create
- Submit entry via the online form.
