The 2025 Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at CMU-Africa
The Mastercard Foundation's Scholarship Program at Canergie Mellon University (CMU-AFRICA), is a fully-funded opportunity for Students from Africa to pursue higher education and develop their leadership skills. The Foundation supports talented African students with full tuition coverage and other benefits to assist these students in obtaining a masters degree in select courses at the CMU-AFRICA'S Campus in Kigali, Rwanda.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Interested applicants should:
- Be a citizen of an African country
- Have obtained a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to giving back to society
- Meet the admission requirement for CMU-Africa's masters program
- Be willing to study either a Master of Science in Information Technology or a Master of Science in Electrical and Computational Engineering or a Master of Science in Engineering Artificial Intelligence.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION
- Transcripts ( Unofficial transcripts can be submitted during application)
- Essay or Statement of Purpose
- An updated CV
- Recommendation letters from either Professors, Supervisors or Community leaders
- A valid ID or Passport.
HOW TO APPLY
- Submit an online application to CMU-Africa for any of the eligible courses stated above.
- Complete a competency test which might include language or technical assessments depending on the course of choice.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
All applications should be submitted by 15th December, 2024 for early admissions and on January 15th 2025, for the final applications.
