The 2024 UMI Mentorship Program for Mothers OF African Descent
The UMI mentorship program is a comprehensive initiative that supports mothers of African descent in their journey to becoming better versions of themselves. This program is designed to help new mothers and mothers of children below the ages of three(3) blend motherhood and professional responsibilities excellently.
The program aims to provide guidance in both motherhood and career development by pairing mentees with experienced mothers and Professionals who have walked the same paths. The program also offers a private community for mothers allowing them to connect and share their experiences.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Be an African mum living in Africa or the Diaspora
- Be an African mother with a child between the ages of 0-3
- Be a mother of African descent looking to be paired with an experienced mentor for insights into how to balance motherhood and professional development.
- Applicants must be committed to starting and fully completing the mentorship program.
PROGRAM DETAILS
- Meeting sessions between mentors and mentees will be held virtually.
- The mentorship program runs for three(3) months. The next cohort will run from February to April, 2025.
