Stonebwoy, Team Eternity, Others Nominated for TGMA 2025

The nominees for the highly anticipated 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have been officially announced, setting the stage for one of Ghana’s biggest nights in music. The unveiling, which took place on March 15, comes after weeks of reviewing submissions from industry players.
The grand awards ceremony is scheduled for May 3 at the Accra International Conference Centre, preceded by a pre-party on May 2, where industry stakeholders, nominees, and music lovers will gather for networking and celebrations.
The Artiste of the Year category is packed with top contenders, including Stonebwoy, King Promise, Black Sherif, Kweku Smoke, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and Joe Mettle. This category is expected to generate intense competition as each nominee has had a remarkable year in the industry.
In the Best Rap Performance category, Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, Flowking Stone, Eno Barony, Kweku Smoke, and Lyrical Joe will battle it out for the top honor. Meanwhile, gospel music remains a strong force in Ghanaian entertainment, with Joe Mettle, Piesie Esther, Diana Hamilton, Empress Gifty, Team Eternity Ghana, and MOG Music securing nominations for Best Gospel Artiste of the Year.
The Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year category is filled with chart-topping hits, including ‘Asylum’ by Olive The Boy, ‘Paris’ by King Promise, ‘Lomo Lomo’ by KiDi featuring Black Sherif, ‘Very Soon’ by Fameye, ‘Jejereje’ by Stonebwoy, ‘Aseda’ by King Paluta, ‘Puul’ by Lasmid, ‘Defe Defe’ by Team Eternity Ghana, and ‘January 9’ by Black Sherif.
For Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year, nominees include ‘Psalm 23’ by Stonebwoy, ‘Road of Evil’ by Ras Kuuku, ‘Ankonam RMX’ by Amerado featuring Samini, ‘Chemistry’ by Samini, ‘I Keep Winning’ by Jupitar, and ‘Shake it to the Max’ by Molly and Silent Addy. The Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year category features Jupitar, Samini, Ras Kuuku, Epixode, Stonebwoy, and Rocky Dawuni, all of whom have made significant contributions to the genre.
