Stonebwoy Celebrates Shatta Wale on His 40th Birthday
One of Ghana’s biggest afro-dancehall/reggae exports, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., also known as Shatta Wale, celebrated his 40th birthday on October 17 2024.
His colleague star Livingstone Satekla, also known as Stonebwoy, has celebrated the 'Melissa' crooner.
Stonebwoy took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to wish Shatta Wale. In his post, Stonebwoy noted that regardless of all their differences, he still wishes Shatta Wale a long life with strength.
"No matter the differences. I wish You Long life brother! Big 40.. ( Blackstar age )," he captioned the post.
Fans and social media users had mixed reactions to the gesture, sparking a lively discussion on whether the message marked a shift in their relationship or was simply a one-off gesture of goodwill.
Timeline of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale's 'beef'
For many years now, two of Ghana’s biggest dancehall musicians have been at each other’s throats.
The then 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards were marred by controversy.
The turmoil began when Stonebwoy was announced as the Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year. Shatta Wale and his entourage stormed the stage, prompting Stonebwoy to draw a gun.
