Samira Bawumia Promises Jobs for Nursing Graduates
The second lady of Ghana and wife of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Hajia Samira Bawumia, has appealed to Ghanaians to vote for her husband, highlighting the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) healthcare infrastructure initiatives, including the construction of hospitals under the ‘Agenda 111’ project.
Samira Bawumia assured students at the Kpembe Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Salaga South constituency of the Savannah region that voting for the NPP will secure them job opportunities.
She emphasized that the NPP, under Akufo Addo’s administration, made it their priority to improve the health care sector. She stated, “Today, thanks to the government of the New Patriotic Party, under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa, our president, and Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, we are building 111 hospitals, 101 districts, 6 regional hospitals, and 5 hospitals.”
She further explained that this development would translate to more job opportunities for students of the Kpembe Nursing and Midwifery Training College after graduation. “As a trainee, ask yourself what that means. What that means is that as soon as you finish school, you will get placement... That is a power-taking government, creating opportunities for your future. So please, on December 7th, it is that future we are proposing,” she added.
