Mohammed Kudus Apologises Over Black Stars Performance in AFCON Qualifiers
Black Stars midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, has given a heartfelt apology to Ghanaians, following the disappointing performances in the matches against Sudan in Accra and Libya, having captained the team in the recent AFCON qualifiers.
"I, on behalf of the team, want to apologize to Ghanaians once again," Kudus said in a statement to that effect. "We know how frustrating it has been for the fans across the country. We are truly sorry.
Kudus said the team gave it their all; pride in representing Ghana on the pitch could just not be reflected in the results. He admitted that the team shared in the disappointment of their fans and consequently assured Ghanaians of how fully committed the team was to learning from their mistakes and working hard toward returning the Black Stars to their former glory.
"We wish to assure Ghanaians that we are committed to learning from our mistakes, regrouping and working tirelessly to restore the Black Stars to our former glory. Your support and loyalty have been resolute, we appreciate that as a team and we will work hard to make you proud again," said Kudus in his statement.

The midfielder also called on fans to support the team during the most critical period and then said the encouragement and faith of supporters would drive them to make a greater determination for success; he added they were still focused on making amends in the next matches.
"We ask all fans to stand by us during this period. Your encouragement and faith in us will inspire us to be more determined to succeed. We shall not give up. We look forward to redeeming ourselves in the upcoming matches," he added.
For now, the Black Stars are preparing for their next set of qualifiers, hoping to make a big comeback and ensure their participation in the next AFCON.
