Mahama: Voting for Me Will Create Jobs, Boost Exports and Grow Ghana’s Economy
Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to vote for him in the 2024 general elections.
Mr Mahama says a vote for him will ensure the creation of jobs and boost Ghana’s economy.
He made this known in a Facebook post. He said: "Support #Mahama24HourEconomy and help create jobs, boost exports and grow Ghana’s economy. Vote for John Mahama to support his #ResettingGhana agenda.”
Mr Mahama earlier indicated that the 24-hour initiative was the answer for now and in the future.
Addressing Ghanaians on Sunday, June 9, he said “It will create an enabling environment with deliberate policies for businesses, companies, and government institutions to operate 24/7 in a three-eight-hour shift system.”
In addition to the traditional 8-hour shift system, Mr Mahama said “the two additional work shifts that [his] administration will introduce will double and sometimes triple the number of jobs that participate in public and private entities that we currently have.
“This is the 24-hour economy optimization strategy: giving more to society, providing efficient service delivery, and generating decent and well-paying jobs," he concluded.
As Ghanaians gear up to vote to elect a president, many politicians have put forward their best policies and what they call transformational plans in the hope of enticing citizens to vote for them. As to who becomes victor, it will be declared after the December 7 polls.
