Celebrated Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari has opened up about the kissing scenes in movies, saying they are make-believe.

In an interview on October 23, 2024 with Godwin Namboh and Anita Akuffo on TV3’s The Afternoon Show, Nadia Buari said kissing scenes are staged to make viewers believe its real.

She explained that the actors’ objective in staging the scenes is to make them look real and convince the audience.

According to her no feelings are attached to kissing scenes in movies and they are made to look real only for the movie characters, not the actors involved.

According to Nadia, actors must separate emotions from kissing scenes, which are typically filmed in front of numerous crew members.

Nadia says she finds kissing scenes and character portrayal to be the most daunting aspects of her career.

After a hiatus from acting, Nadia Buari is back to the screens with ‘Forever in a Night’, produced by John N. Okwugo and directed by her brother Jameel Buari.
