Kalybos Reveals Why He Married His Wife After Dumping His Ex

In a recent interview on the Girls Aloud podcast, Ghanaian comedian Kalybos expressed a humorous approach to his marriage to his wife, Antwiwaa. Jokingly, he said that her money influenced his decision to marry her and has sent social media abuzz. While some fans chimed in with his comment as hype, others found a sarcastic tone in it and believed Kalybos may have been playing along to amuse the host. His candid yet humorous comments add to the perpetual talk about love, relationships, and financial stability within Ghanaian society.
Before jumping into why he settled with his wife, he spoke about his past relationship, which lasted five years. According to the comedian, being in a relationship with someone for a long time doesn't guarantee marriage as a result. He added that many settle with their long-term partners due to societal norms and pressure, which is not supposed to be so.
Kalybos concluded by saying he chose to end his five-year relationship when he realized it was not moving him toward the plans he had for his future.
When asked why he married his wife, he answered simply by saying, "Yes, she's rich."
