John Mahama Challenges Dr. Bawumia With Five Questions

Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has finally addressed the statements made by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party.

In most of Dr. Bawumia's statements, he has asserted that he has made and achieved more impacts as a Vice President compared to the years John Mahama served as predient of land.

However, in a turn of events, John Mahana has replied to all these assertions by his Excellency the Vice President with five questions, which he demands he answer in all honesty.

These questions not only reflect Mahama's stance on pressing national issues but also highlight his emphasis on accountability and transparency. As the 2024 election season intensifies, this exchange sheds light on the contrasting approaches and priorities of both leaders.

Here are the five questions he asked for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia:

• Why has the cedi deteriorated in value from GHc 4 to $1 in 2016 to almost GHc 17 to $1 today?
• Why has Ghana's public debt risen from GHc120 billion in 2016 to GHc763 billion in 2024 with you as EMT chair?
• Why did inflation rise to its highest in the 4th Republic of 54% under your watch as EMT chair?
• Why did you borrow more than GHc 42 billion from the Bank of Ghana and cause the Central Bank to post its heaviest loss of GHc 60 billion?
• Why have you run away from giving lectures on the economy? Why has the word 'economy' disappeared from the lexicon?

With all these questions, John Mahama hopes to get answers from the Vice President to finally settle the debate on who did better and who has the future of the country at heart.
