Joy Jocelyn Andoh, the Independent Parliamentary Candidate for the Tarkwa Nsueam Constituency, has launched an initiative aimed at empowering women through practical skill development.

The Women's Empowerment Skills Fair, scheduled from September 30 to October 12, 2024, offers two weeks of intensive training to women across various communities within the constituency.

This event is designed to provide participants with hands-on training in diverse areas, such as making riped plantain cake, herbal ointments, organic fertilizer, meat pies, biofill digesters, bar soap, yogurt, body perfumes, and more. Attendees will also be equipped with knowledge on how to create practical products such as antiseptics, shampoo, floor cleaners, bridal fans, fascinators, and even mushroom cultivation.

The participating communities include New Atuabo, Nsueam, Tamso, Benso/Subriso/Amantin, Kwabadu/Cynide, Simpa, Akyimpim/Bankyim, Brenuakyim, and Ahwetieso/Wassa Agona.

This Skills Fair is part of Andoh's ongoing efforts to promote economic independence for women in the constituency, aligning with her vision of fostering jobs, unity, and empowerment.

Joy Jocelyn Andoh’s grassroots approach continues to make an impact, helping local women transform skills into opportunities and contributing to community development in Tarkwa Nsueam.
