A multinational company operating in the agricultural sector, seeks a skilled and experienced Irrigation Engineer/Supervisor to oversee the management and construction of their irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
LOCATION: Aveyime, Volta Region
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of irrigation systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize water usage and minimize water loss
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to irrigation equipment and infrastructure
- Manage the planning, design, and construction of new irrigation systems
- Collect and analyze data on irrigation system performance, water usage, and crop yields
- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in managing agricultural irrigation systems
- Strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems, including pump systems, pipelines, and control systems
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office and irrigation management software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
