We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in designing, installing, and maintaining our fiber optic network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and high-performance network connectivity for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fiber optic network designs.
  • Create network diagrams and documentation to support installation and maintenance activities.

• Installation and Deployment:

  • Oversee and participate in the installation of fiber optic cables, splicing, and termination.
  • Configure and test fiber optic equipment (optical transceivers, switches, and routers).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards during installations.

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor network performance, proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot fiber optic network faults such as fiber breaks, attenuation, and equipment failures.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks.

• Project Management:

  • Coordinate and manage fiber optic network projects from planning to implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, procedures, and configuration files.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in fiber optic technologies (e.g., Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT), Certified Fiber Optic Installer (CFI)).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in fiber optic network design, installation, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in fiber optic testing equipment (OTDR, power meter, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with network management tools and protocols (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow).
• Knowledge of network security best practices.
• Experience in data center or telecom environments.
