FULLY SPONSORED DIGITAL SKILLS TRAINING FOR WOMEN IN GHANA
OVERVIEW
Soronko Academy has launched the 6th edition of its SORONKO SCILLS national digital skills program for women in Ghana. Soronko Academy, in partnership with the Internet Society, seeks to bridge the digital gap by providing women in Ghana with the opportunity to acquire digital skills and to also lead in this digital era.
ABOUT SORONKO ACADEMY
Soronko Academy is a leading social service organization headquartered in Accra, Ghana—West Africa. The organization equips young individuals, especially women and girls, with tech and ICT skills, soft skills training, and job/internship opportunities to set these young leaders up in realizing their individual potentials and attaining economic stability.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE SORONKO SCILLS PROGRAM
Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for the program:
- Must be of Ghanaian descent
- Must be 18 years and above
- Must have access to a phone or laptop to access training sessions( for those that apply for remote and virtual sessions)
- Must have a stable source of internet connection.
PROGRAM DETAILS
- The training sessions will be held over a period of six (6) weeks for both the online and in-person sessions
- Participants will have the opportunity to learn about content creation and digital marketing, web development and SEO, graphic design and internet security, as well as soft skills including presentation, public speaking skills and entrepreneurship
- Training for GROUP 1 starts on 3rd February, 2025
- Sessions for GROUP 1 will be held on mondays, wednesdays and fridays from 10:00am — 1:00pm
- Training sessions for GROUP 2 start on February 4, 2025
- Sessions for Group 2 will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
PROGRAM BENEFITS
- Fully-funded training sessions
- Remote and virtual participants will be provided with an allowance to cover the cost of data for the duration of the program (terms and conditions apply).
