HOW TO APPLY
For the graduate studies, Clemson University only welcomes applicants who have a graduate degree or a four-year undergraduate degree from a U.S institution or an equivalent degree from an international institution outside the U.S. Application and admission decision vary based on the criteria adopted by each department and program one are applies for.
Applicants must remember to;

- Apply online through a secured web-based application system.
- Ensure that supporting materials (transcripts, recommendation letters etc.) are properly matched with your application.
- Check application status frequently for updates.
APPLICATION FEE
The school has waived application fees for graduate studies applicants for 2024 and beyond.
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS ADMISSION
International students have earlier deadlines to allow for enough time to secure a visa. International applicants should submit a complete admission by mid April for fall semester enrollment, mid September for spring semester enrollment and the first week in February for summer enrollment for admission into the 2025 batch. Applicants should note that admission for 2024 is already closed.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
International applicants whose native language is not English can submit official test scores to proof their proficiency in English. Applicants can choose to submit documents that proof that their undergraduate or graduate studies from a foreign institution was taught entirely in English or degrees were obtained from a regionally accredited U.S institution. The Standardized tests accepted are TOEFL iBT, TOEFL Essentials, IELTS, DUOLINGO AND PTE ( Pearson Test of English).
Clemson University does not accept unofficial test scores. Test scores must be sent electronically from the testing agency to Clemson University
ASSISTANTSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS
Clemson University provides study grants and/or financial aid in the form of assistantships and fellowships to support students financially. Assistantships are managed by individual departments at Clemson University. If you are interested in applying for a fellowship or assistantship, check with your programs department. Fellowships may be awarded to students by government agencies, private foundations or professional groups.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
There is no general deadline for application. Each department and program of study has separate application deadlines.
