DESIGN WITHOUT BORDERS (DWB) African Fellowship Program

The Design Without Borders African Fellowship Program 2025 is an opportunity created to unlock the potential of African creatives, designers, and innovators. This fellowship was designed to bridge the hap between African design talents and global opportunities, promoting cross-cultural collaboration and exchange.
FELOWSHIP OVERVIEW
The fellowship is a four(4) month program that offers:
- Mentorship from industry experts and thought leaders
- Masterclasses and workshops on design thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship
- Collaborative projects with international partners and stakeholders
- Access to global network of designers, creatives, and innovators
- Funding opportunities to support project implementation.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The fellowship is opened to African creatives from diverse disciplines including graphic design, product design, architecture, fashion and more.
Fellowship participants must have earned a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering, Public Health and Sociology
A high level of critical thinking, creativity and great team work abilities
Shoul be able to attend the in-person sessions in Kampala, Uganda.

- Digital Transformation and Technology
- Behavioral Science and Application in Design
- Fundamentals of Service and System Designs
- The Human Centred Design Approach
- Professional Practice and Work Ethics.

PLEASE NOT THAT AFRICAN APPLICANTS NOT LIVING WITHIN UGANDA WILL HAVE TO COVER THEIR OWN TRAVEL RELATED COST TO UGANDA TO ATTEND THE FELLOWSHIP.
