Delay shares her Grass-to-Grace story
Reflecting on past problems, Delay says, "I wouldn't be able to eat until my friend bought us some food." In a recent video, Delay talked about a time in her life in Tema when her financial situation was so bad that she had trouble finding food. She claimed that often she was so impoverished that she would wait to eat for the entire day until a buddy arrived home from work with some money.
We would share the "check check" (fried rice) that the friend would later buy," the woman said. "My story is a typical grass-to-grace, from poverty to financial independence and success," she said, highlighting the story's transforming power. It just goes from zero to hero, or from nobody to someone.
Delay appreciates spending her hard-earned money on keeping up a sophisticated appearance these days and thinks back on the challenges she had in order to succeed. The businesswoman and TV broadcaster has never hidden anything about her journey from poverty to affluence.
