Dan Kwaku Yeboah Drags Kwesi Nyantakyi's Name into GH₵2 Million Scandal
Ace Ghanaian sports journalist, Dan Kwaku Yeboah, has made severe allegations against Kwesi Nyantakyi, the former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
According to the Peace FM broadcaster, Kwesi Nyantakyi took for himself a whopping sum of GH₵2 million cedis from the Black Stars Unibank account during his tenure.
According to Yeboah, these funds were not appropriated for any activities related to the Black Stars, Ghana’s national football team, but were instead diverted for Nyantakyi’s personal gain.
"The worst thing to have happened to our football is Anas’ exposé. President Nyantakyi single-handedly went to UniBank to withdraw $2 million for himself. Even when he was arrested, the GFA was not dissolved, so no matter what happens, the president cannot dissolve the GFA,” he said.
The Peace Power Sports host further criticized the infamous Anas Number 12 Exposé, describing it as the most scandalous event in the history of Ghanaian football.
After undercover investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas's bombshell exposé was made public, Nyantakyi's time as GFA president came to an unflattering conclusion.
Widespread corruption inside the GFA was divulged by the exposé, which caused Nyantakyi to resign and FIFA to ban him from all football-related activities.
