CLOGSAG gives notice that it will go on strike on Monday, November 4
The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has the right to declare a statewide strike due to the protracted delay in finalizing a salary structure for Civil Service and Local Government Service employees.
CLOGSAG announced in a prior letter that its members would go on strike in July of the same year. However, following additional talks with the government side, they issued a communiqué canceling the strike.

They said that multiple discussions had been held without a concrete offer from the government side because it was agreed that the process of finalizing a salary structure would be finished by October 31, 2024, and put into effect on January 1, 2025.
“From the foregoing, it is evident that the 31st October 2024 deadline for finalization of a salary structure for the Civil Service and the Local Government Service would not be met.“In the light of the above CLOGSAG would have no option than to declare a nationwide strike from Monday 4th November, 2024,” a statement they issued on Tuesday, October 22 said.
