Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed confidence that he will be declared president by the Electoral Commission by midnight of 7th December, 2024.

He was addressing party faithful at a Youth Connect programme at Anloga in the Volta Region.

You will hear by midnight December 7th That the the NPP has worn this election, it will be declared,” Dr Bawumia prophesied.

According to him, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have already seen the signs on the wall,

“You can see the NDC, they are losing this elections because we have six weeks to elections but today after being a Minority for eight years, they want to be a Majority for six weeks,” he teased.

The NPP flagbearer assured the electorate of a better future.

Earlier, Bawumia promised to build a bridge over the Oti River in the Oti region. 

He said that government will use part of the $2 billion Korean loan facility to construct a bridge over the Oti River to link to the border countries.

This is expected to improve on businesses and trade.

Dr Bawumia was addressing the chiefs, clergy and Muslim clerics at Kratchie East in the Oti region on October 26, 2024.
