Apostle Nyamekye Urges Politicians to Prioritize Peace
Apostle Eric Nyamekye, president of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), has urged all stakeholders and politicians to prioritize the well-being and peace of Ghanaians as we gear up for the upcoming 2024 elections.
Apostle Eric Nyamekye made this timely appeal at the launch of the National Peace Campaign, themed “Let Peace Prevail,” held at the State House forecourt today, November 3, 2024.
In his address, Apostle Nyamekye urged politicians and stakeholders to shun violence, highlighting the importance of finding common ground through compromise, making sacrifice, and taking intentional actions that would foster tranquility and stability for Ghanaians throughout the period of election.
“I must acknowledge that while the overall atmosphere during these elections has been peaceful, they have occasionally seen instances of violence which sometimes led to the loss of lives," he stated.
Apostle Nyamkeye's imploration comes at a time when political parties are attempting to win the hearts of the people as the country gears to hold its 2024 elections.
