Alan Kyerematen Unveils Visionary Plan to Transform Greater Accra
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the Presidential Candidate for the Movement for Change, has boldly spoken out about his ambitious vision of transforming the Greater Accra region. He intends to redevelop the Greater Accra Region into one of the top five cities in Africa by 2030. This 15-point agenda, christened the "Greater Accra Regeneration Initiative," is aimed at restoring sanity to the many urban challenges confronting the city into a well-structured and livable space in the city.
Alan's vision entails a revamping of the urban transport system with a congested de-congestion motive and modernization of the traffic control and managerial mechanisms. This would include upgrading the systems of waste disposal and management that have been a long problem in Accra. He has focused on de-congestion, particularly in the Central Business District, for a well-structured cityscape that should support economic growth and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Accra.
The "GARI Project" fits this larger vision for the building of Accra into a progressive, sustainable city, as conceptualized by Kyerematen under the auspices of the Movement for Change's Great Transformational Plan.
At a recent press conference on his Greater Accra caravan tour, Kyerematen said confidently, "This is more than just an agenda; it is a blueprint into reimagining Accra as a world-class African city. We want a clean, organized, efficient city that every Ghanaian can be proud of.
