Afua Asantewaa to Hold Another Sing-A-Thon in Kumasi, Shares Details in Video
Ghanaian media personality and event planner Afua Asantewaa Aduonum is gearing up to make a second attempt at the longest-singing marathon in the Guinness World Records (GWR).
She announced in a recent interview on Akoma FM that she had already received approval to attempt the record again.
According to Afua Asantewaa, the latest attempt will be held in Kumasi in December.
The sing-a-thon sensation said her team was on the grounds in Kumasi to conduct feasibility studies to find the best location in Kumasi for the program to be held.
According to Asantewaa, a press conference will be held to officially launch the upcoming singathon.
Undeterred by her previous unsuccessful attempt, Asantewaa maintains a positive perspective. "The fact that I was unsuccessful in my first attempt shouldn't be a barrier to my quest of becoming a Guinness World record holder," she stated.
In December 2023, Asantewaa attempted to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest singing marathon, held by Sunil Waghmare. However, her attempt was unsuccessful.
News about her disqualification message from GWR caused a brouhaha but in all that, Afua Asantewaa remained resolute.
It is hoped that Ghanaians will give her the same support as they did for her first attempt.
