Accident On Tema Motorway, Passengers Safely Rescued
An accident involving a saloon car occurred early Thursday morning on the Ashaiman stretch of the Tema Motorway. It injured two women who were safely rescued at about 5.00 a.m. on October 17, 2024.
Eyewitness accounts have it that the saloon car was moving at high speed when it lost control due to skidding off the wet road resulting from light rains experienced earlier that morning. The vehicle reportedly somersaulted off the highway and landed in a nearby bush.
Despite the violence of the crash, rapid action on the part of passing motorists and pedestrians made sure that the passengers were rescued safely from the overturned motorcar. The two ladies in the car were seriously injured but were rushed immediately to the hospital by those present at the scene.
By the time the news reporters had arrived, the victims were already in the hospital receiving their medical attention, which is yet unknown. Fortunately, this situation probably minimized the aftermath since several bystanders immediately responded right away to help the victims of the crash.
