Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Promises Solar Farms to Lower Electricity Bills by 50%
Vice President and presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised that if he becomes president, one of his main goals will be to reduce electricity bills in Ghana by using solar energy.
Speaking to the chiefs, clergy, and people of Juaso, Dr. Bawumia said he would set up solar farms in every district across the country. He believes this plan will lower electricity bills by 50% and make power more affordable for everyone.

He also said that using solar energy would help make electricity more available to all Ghanaians, solving some of the country’s ongoing power problems.
This isn’t the only thing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says he will bring to the districts across Ghana. A few weeks ago, the Vice President and presidential candidate also promised to improve the Ghanaian market system. He assured the public that every district without a modern market would soon have one.
