2025 AMVCA: See Full Nominee List

The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) has unveiled the nominees for the 2025 awards, recognizing exceptional talent in African film and television. The announcement, which aired live on Africa Magic channels, showcased the remarkable contributions of filmmakers, actors, and creatives shaping the entertainment industry across the continent.

The highly anticipated awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 10, 2025, at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria. Fans have the opportunity to participate by voting for their favorite nominees via the Africa Magic website, with voting set to close on May 4, 2025.

Now in its 11th year, the AMVCA remains one of the most prestigious accolades in African entertainment, honoring excellence across 27 categories. These include nine audience-voted categories and 18 determined by a jury panel, led by respected filmmaker Femi Odugbemi.


In addition to the competitive categories, two special recognition awards—the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Trailblazer Award—will be presented to outstanding industry pioneers and emerging talents.

As anticipation builds, the AMVCA continues to celebrate and elevate the African entertainment industry, providing a platform that recognizes creativity, storytelling, and cinematic brilliance.
